How To Do a Smoky, Party Eye For The Holidays

In this week’s edition of “Holiday Party Glam,” I want to address the eyes. I hear a lot of girls talk about how they always do the same makeup. Day, night, party, office….the same eyes, the same lips, the same face. I really like to take parties and nightlife as an opportunity to amp things up and switch up the same boring routine.

I collaborated with the lovely folks over at Sephora and created a party eye look that would pair perfectly with a cocktail dress or leather jacket. Here is the video and a break down of products I used. Click on the links and pictures to shop the makeup!

Pro Tip: I typically do this kind of dark eye before I do the rest of my makeup, because I find that the dark shadow falls to my under eyes and can mess up any concealor/foundation I have already applied. I save myself the hassle of doing it twice and just do my eyes first. After I finish the eye, I take a few simple steps to get flawless skin. Find my video on how to achieve that here.

I also like to layer a dark shadow under the shimmery shadow which gives my makeup depth and an overall polished look.

Pair this dark eye with a natural or light pink lip color. Anything else will look too clownish. Find my lip color from the video here.

And in case you missed it, obvi, no holiday makeup look is complete without a rockin’ hair-do. Find a tutorial for my glam retro waves featured in this video here.
