I honestly think the key to any great makeup look is flawless skin. If you think about it, you never see any celebrities with a big zit or crazy under eye circles. Obviously many celebs have the best when it comes to skin care routines, but it is also because all red carpet makeup looks begin with making their skin look perfect with makeup products and tricks. Since I’ve been on a kick of planning beauty looks for this year’s holiday parties, I thought I should break it down to basics and show you guys how to achieve a perfect foundation for any party look. I use Givenchy Mister Smooth on most of my clients, even the guys. Not only does it help makeup last longer, but it smooths skin, fills in pores and helps with discoloration. It’s a little bit of a splurge, but you don’t need much so it last a while and is worth the money. Find it here.
Benefit Erase Paste is hands down my new favorite concealer. I love it for under eyes because it also contains a brightener so it really lightens up your face. I also use it on the trouble spots that I have and any redness. Find it here.
I also love Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and use it on all of my red carpet looks with clients to make sure makeup last all night. I usually spray it after all of my makeup is finished with one to two pumps a few inches away from my face. It should just feel like a light mist over face, let it dry before touching. Find it here.
