New York City is one of my top favorites to date. I am lucky enough to travel to the city multiple times a year. There are so many different areas of the city that I love, I decided to just break up the post to the different spots I stay each trip and what I did in those areas. This trip I stayed in NOHO which is just north of Houston Street, downtown. I have to say that the vibe of downtown NYC probably fits me a little more. Don’t get me wrong, uptown is amazing too, but downtown is a little younger, artsier crowd. I felt very at home.

Here are some of my favorites and recommendations from the trip!
Brunch Spots & Favorite Restaurants
I love the atmosphere here and the food is light and delicious. The cocktails are also great. Last time I went, Rosie Huntington Whitley was sitting next to me, if that describes the vibe.
The Dutch
This place is so fun for a Saturday night with a group. Great energy and food. I suggest the seafood with a side of fries and a great glass of wine!
GATO
Gato is great for a heartier meal. It is Bobby Flay’s restaurant offering Spanish-accented Mediterranean fare in a hip space with a large bar.
We did a group order and ordered a bunch of stuff to share. Literally, everything we got was amazing, but two of my faves were the Hamachi and the Pulpo a la Gallega. The tagliatelle was also great for a table share.
Mother’s Ruins
This is a great dive bar, it can be a little loud, but always full of energy and a great place to mix and mingle with local New Yorkers.

SHOPPING IN SOHO

I always hit up the Zara and All Saints first. I do recommend going on a weekday if possible to Zara. It’s a bit crazy on the weekends.
ALL SAINTS
512 Broadway, New York, NY 10012
This trip was especially great because All Saints was having a huge 60% off sale and they still are… shop the sale here.
Bloomingdales
504 Broadway, New York, NY 10012
I typically love the Bloomingdales in Soho as well, although this time around it was a bit sparse. Hoping it was just the in-between seasons though.
Great post! I love New York! Love the energy!
