Alright look, whether you like it or not, the holiday’s usually come with a large side of parties, events, get-togethers, dirty santa’s, etc.- you get the drift. While this may be like torture to some of you (I’m secretly raising my hand), I think this season we should have fun with all the shenanigans. What better way to enjoy this holiday party season than to feel like the hottest gal walking into the room. Whether you are trying to stick it to an ex-boyfriend, impress your co-workers or just change up your look, I’ve got a few beauty tricks up my sleeve to help you get there.
In my opinion, a great holiday look starts with the hair. I personally find myself always wearing my hair in the same beach wave , whether it’s to a party or the grocery store. It’s easy and I can do it in five minutes, so it happens any day that I decide to do my hair. Since the holidays can be a little more glam, I’m thinking about adding a little old Hollywood to my look this year and doing some retro-waves. I teamed up with my friends at Sephora, my one stop shop for all things beauty, to show you guys how easy this look can be. It is seriously just as fast and easy as my daily beach waves and can totally change up the look. Don’t be intimidated! You can do it! Watch the simple steps in the video below and let me know how it goes! Email questions or pics to [email protected]! Here is the step by step video and products I used all linked below!
When curling hair, hold the curling iron on hair for 10-15 seconds to really set curl.
This look is smooth and sleek, so I start with a smoothing serum. I use one by PHYTO, find it here.
If your hair needs a little more volume or has trouble holding a curl, you can also add a mousse to prep. Find one here.
I used a 1.25 inch curling iron to get this look. Find it here.
To finish, I brushed out with Bumble & Bumble Flat Brush. Find it here. And sprayed with Bumble & Bumble Classic Hairspray which gives a good amount of hold without being crunchy. Find it here.
