Beach Body Workout

Well, it’s that time of year again. Swim suit season. Don…..don….donnnnnnn……

A few weeks ago I was having a conversation with our pal, Amy, from The Bobby Bones Show about getting ourselves ready to put our suits on. Is it just us or are swimsuits getting smaller and smaller these days??? Swim wear companies must be REALLY saving some money on materials!

Honestly, I can feel in shape and then you ask me to put a suit on and all of a sudden certain areas of my body pop into my head that I just don’t know I want to expose to the the world. However, let’s be real, I could never forego the beach over a silly swim suit issue, so Amy and I decided it was time to call in the big guns- and by that, I mean Velvet’s Edge fitness girl, Olivia.

I asked Olivia for a workout routine that would hit all my beach body problem areas. Amy got a little more specific and wanted to target the area right under her butt for a little added lift and tightness in that spot. Definitely something I think most women can relate to.

With all of that said, enough talk. Let’s have some action. Here is Olivia’s beach body workout with pics to help explain the moves, PLUS an awesome workout playlist from Amy to help keep you motivated. Beach body here we come!

Olivia’s Beach Body Workout

Olivia broke the workout up into four sections.  You can break it up any way you want as long as you complete each section and all of the reps.

Two Minute Warmup: Jump Rope

Section 1:

Wall Sit with Bicep Curl (do for 1 minute, 3 times)

Jumping Lunges (for 1 minute, 3 times)

Section 2:

Chest Fly (12 reps, 3 times)

Push Up with a Knee Tuck (12 reps, 3 times)

Section 3:

Donkey Kick (right leg and left leg, each for 1 minute, 3 times)

Firehydrant (right leg and left leg, each for 1 minute, 3 times)

Section 4:

Side Plank Hip Raise (left side and right side, 30 seconds each, 3 times)
