Valentine’s Day Date Idea

I am far from a relationship expert, but in my 34 years, I have learned that if you want to make a relationship work, you make it work. Because my man and I both travel a lot for work, we have learned to make that work. We make the most of the time we do have together and travel to see each other when we can. I really think you can choose to look at life as either a burden or an opportunity and our lifestyle works for us so I choose to look at it as an opportunity for adventure!

I should preface this next paragraph by saying I think Valentine’s Day is a little silly, BUT again, if we are looking at things as opportunities, why not take the opportunity to celebrate. Since we won’t be able to spend the actual Valentine’s Day together, we chose to celebrate a little early. Luckily for us, the new Westin in Nashville just opened their new spa and invited us in to try one of their special Valentine’s Day packages. I am always down for a massage and special occasions gives me a great reason to pamper myself a bit or us both.  spa 1We chose the “Love On the Rocks” package which was a hot-stone couples massage. I have never had a hot stone massage before and I LOVED it. The rocks are warm, obviously, and they use them to work deep into the muscles to work out any extra tension. spa 4We took some time to sit in the sauna after the massage…..spa 2And then as another part of the package enjoyed a cocktail in the relaxation room…spa 5All in all I highly recommend spa time as a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day together or by yourself.
