How Kelly Wore It: A Hint of 90’s Grunge

In a somewhat accidental fashion, I feel like a channeled a bit of 90’s grunge with this outfit and I’m really not mad about it at all. If you follow our Instagram @velvetsedge (insert shameless plug), you have probably noticed my obsession with my Rails shirts. I own three, I wish I owned 50. They are literally my most favorite shirts in my closet, super comfy and just easy to throw on and still look cute. They are also very versatile as seen below; when I wanted a little something extra with my dress for this outfit, I naturally reached for a Rails shirt.  It’s the perfect weight for summertime, especially if you are anything like me and get cold anytime you enter any building.

I also love this dress by Silence & Noise. It looks a little psychedelic in these pics, but it’s not in person. The stripes are just tiny and photograph that way. I topped the outfit off with my staples…black fedora and Jeffrey Campbell lace up booties, Larson & Jennings watch and newbies: my Giving Key necklace and anchor necklace by Alex & Ani. Find them all below! Here’s how I wore it!
