Dallas Travel Trips & Recap of #RSthecon!

If you follow any other bloggers, you probably saw something about #rsthecon this past weekend in Dallas, Texas. For those of you who don’t, #rsthecon is the hashtag for the Reward Style Blogger Conference that happens each year. Reward Style is a company that reps bloggers and is probably most well known for creating Like To Know It- the avenue that allows people to shop via Instagram. The conference is invite only and consist of the Top 200 bloggers, brands that want to work with them and the Reward Style team who puts on educational seminars throughout the conference. We (the bloggers) have the opportunity to meet the different brands, talk through collaboration ideas and try new products from the brands.

All in all, it’s an extremely informative and helpful weekend if you are a blogger. Of course, there are also the parties which is a great time to meet other like-minded blogger friends and brainstorm and celebrate, etc.

And then…there is the fashion. Truthfully, my fashion is a little different than most of the girls there, which I both love and hate. Sometimes it’s fun to stick out and other times it’s scary as shit. I do my best just to try and own it though! I put links to all of my looks that I wore this weekend below, the white dress is by far the most comfortable and both the yellow dress and the green dress got lots of praise. I also love the necklaces I wore all weekend, specifically the star necklace by Gorjana. I wore all three, layered, with every look. Click the small pics below to shop!

The convention took place this year at the Hotel Crescent Court. Not my fave. Not gonna lie. It’s nice. It’s fine. The bed was comfortable, but the place itself just isn’t a cool vibe. It’s more traditional, which blah, blah, blah- is just not my thing. I also felt like the rooms were outdated and the decor was very brown. So there you go. In the past we have done the conference at the Joule, which I highly recommend for anyone visiting Dallas.

One restaurant near the Crescent that is really worth visiting is Water Grille. The most amazing, fresh seafood and delicious cocktails. The ceviche comes with the full head and tail of the fish, but is absolutely a must. I have been thinking about it since I went.

Also worth trying was Ascension coffee if you are in the mood for a latte. The lavender latte is perfection.
