The Sneakers Edit: Shop Our Favorites

Obviously when we think of Fall fashion, it’s easy to think about boots. However, I think there is another Fall footwear option that sometimes gets over looked or downplayed. I’m talking about sneakers, y’all.

First of all, I also want to mention that I am new to this whole “sneaker” word and still not sure how I feel about it. In Louisiana, we call everything a tennis shoe. Kind of like how any soft drink is called a coke. Anyone else out there do that too??? In Nashville, everyone calls these types of shoes “sneakers,” so to be clearly understood, I’ve had to change my usage. With that said, I have been on the hunt for some new SNEAKERS lately because my old ones have just been worn out. Anytime I’m looking for something, I assume some of you guys may also be looking for the same thing, so of course I wanted to do a post about it. Basically I want Golden Goose sneakers. Like who doesn’t, really? I just cannot justify the price tag in my head. Trust me, I’ve tried. I will splurge on boots, but tennis….I mean sneakers? Just can’t go there yet. Maybe in a few years. Maybe if I win the lottery? Anyway, it’s not happening right now. Of course I still think these are the best sneakers out there, so here are my faves, plus one pair of really amazing Gucci tennies if any of you do feel like splurging. Click the pics to shop.

If you are like me and want a more affordable price for your sneaks, let’s talk. So basically I was looking for two things, 1. A new black hightop 2. something with a little flavor. If you know me at all, you know I’m pretty much always in some sort of vintage tee and jean look and I think a cute low top, with a bold print would be an awesome addition to this look. I also just like the option of black to keep things a little more chic, a little more simple.

So, the short answer is, I decided on two pairs.

I’m really into the price of all Superga sneaks. I have found the can run a little wide and small, so I opted for the hightop for a better fit around my ankle and also a half size bigger than I normally wear. I really love this black velvet hightop because it gives the illusion of a dressier shoe, even though its a sneaker. Find my black velvet high top here.

Like I said, I also wanted something with a little flavor. I really love this leopard low top, with red shoe string sneak. I can’t wait to add a print to a basic black look or casual dress. I think it will also go great with my vintage tees for a cute work look. Find those here.

These are ALL of the other options I was looking at. Some of them have more than one color, so if you like the shoe, click on the link to see all of the options. I kept the price range fairly low and affordable because that’s just what I want in a sneak. Click the pics to shop and get those feet ready for cooler temps folks!

  1. Hi Kelly,
I LOVE sneakers and one of my favorite brands for high tops is Palladium if you want to check them out, they’re kind of a mix of military and Converse. There’s also this brand called Penelope Chilvers that mostly does boots but I actually have the coolest pair of Cow Print sneaks from her. Loved the article, thanks!
