I personally do not have eyelash extensions, but I have multiple clients who do. As a makeup artist, it has been very important for me to learn about the different products that are safe to apply around eyelash extensions and also their care. When lashes aren’t taken care of, they fall out, clump together, go haywire, you name it. Care is very important to maintaining strong healthy lashes.
These are 8 products that are safe to apply and clean lashes with!
AVENE OIL-FREE GEL CLEANSER
Here we go with that number one rule again. Keep your cleansers oil-free to avoid any lost soldiers.
MARC JACOBS BEAUTY HIGHLINER GEL EYE CRAYON EYELINER
Whatever you do, avoid pencil liner. It will tug on your lash line and potentially disrupt the glue. It’s best to stick to gel liners that glide on seamlessly and are easier to remove.
BIODERMA SENSIBIO H2O WIPES
If you’re wearing eye makeup, keep plenty of gentle wipes at the ready. We love these because they’re meant for sensitive skin and allow you to be very precise.
JANE IREDALE DELUXE SPOOLIE
Just like that old saying: A brush a day keeps the refill appointment away.
FACE STOCKHOLM EYE MAKEUP REMOVER
If you prefer liquid remover, use a Q-tip so that it won’t leave residue between your lashes.
LORAC COSMETICS BEHIND THE SCENES EYE SHADOW PRIMER
This formula will help keep pigment from eyeshadows in place. No dust-covered lashes here.
LA BELLA DONNA COMPRESSED MINERAL EYE SHADOW
Truth be told, you hardly need makeup with your new peepers. But a thin brush of shimmering powder can really make ’em pop.
ALMAY OIL-FREE GENTLE EYE MAKEUP REMOVER PADS
Talk about easy on the eyes.
DERMADOCTOR AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ MEDICATED AHA/BHA ACNE CLEANSER
If acne is a concern, nab a cleanser that’s tough enough on trouble spots yet gentle should any accidentally get in your eyes.
If you are looking for a lash master in Nashville, call Amy at Lash! She is my fave!
