As most of you know, I’ve recently moved into a new Velvet’s Edge office. It’s amazing and I love it and it’s honestly been one of the biggest game changers for me this year. It’s also made me realize the importance of creating a work space that’s cozy and inspiring – this applies for just for life in general. I’ve found that separating my home space and my work space is HUGE. I’ve also found that having things organized and each having a place helps clear out the craziness in my brain and give me more room for creative thinking.

I keep a throw on my desk chair all the times.
Baskets or bins make it easy to drop things in – keeping things tidy and easy to grab when needed.
Candles are a MUST.
Pieces that are decorative and serve a purpose.
Lighting is a big deal for me. I’m not into harsh overhead lights so I prefer lighting that gives off a soft glow.
