How To: Bronzy Makeup Tutorial

I posted a pic on Instagram of my a bronzy makeup look a few days ago and you guys said you wanted a tutorial. This look is super easy and definitely one of my go-to’s. I love it when I have a tan in summer, but also sometimes feel like I need some bronze vibes in winter to go with my all black wardrobe looks. Plus, it looks great with a spray tan, so that can be basically anytime of year. 🙂

One of the main things you guys expressed interest in was how to make sure bronzer on your cheeks didn’t make your face look dirty. This is a two part answer, but a really simple fix.

  1. Blend, blend, blend. Make sure to use circular motions to blend bronzer into skin and take away any harsh edges.
  2. If the blending doesn’t help and your face still has that dirty look, your bronzer color is probably too dark for your skin tone. Try a bronzer that is a shade or two lighter with less of an orange undertone.

  1. I love all your tutorials. I am days away from turning 40 and I feel like you are my connection to avoid turning into a sad middle age, mom-jean wearing individual. So thanks!! The only thing I am struggling with is that my under eye gets real dry and “Cake-y” after I put powder on. What in the world am I doing wrong?

    Thanks, as always!!!

    1. Christi,
First of all, this comment made my day..THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Tip: When you are setting your concealer, apply just to inner corners of your eye and down the side of the nose instead of taking it all the way out to crows feet. Also, try applying Mac Fix Plus spray once your makeup is finished. It keeps things hydrated and in place. Hope this helps!
